The CEPS is an interdisciplinary university centre, which aims to connect the different research approaches and theories through a general view on the topics philanthropy and foundations.

The CEPS aligns its range of services with the strategic focus “Social change and justice” at the University of Basle.

Swiss Foundation Code

Governance is a major challenge for members of a foundation board. The Swiss Foundation Code from SwissFoundations is the first European-wide Governance Code for foundations. The Code contains basic principles and recommendations for a professional management of foundations. An English version was published in 2011. More...
