Cooperation: a transaction-cost perspective
Hybrid organizations, showing both non-profit and for-profit characteristics, are increasingly treated within the nonprofit-literature.
Taking a transaction-cost perspective, in her newest article, Marbyel Perez takes a closer look at such hybrid structures, i.e. collaborations between non-profit organizations, the state and companies. By means of an analysis of foundations that engage in lobbying activities on the level of the European Union, Marybel Perez shows that foundations opt for such hybrid structures, when they dispose over too little own resources to pursue such activities individually.
