[Translate to English:] Call for Submissions: Workshop on Global Philanthropy

The Center for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS) at the University of Basel, together with international experts, invites you to the two-day Workshop on Global Philanthropy. 
The workshop offers a platform for exchange between researchers, practitioners and policy makers to discuss current developments, challenges and opportunities in global philanthropy. The workshop takes place a few days before the 12th International Research Conference of the European Research Network on Philanthropy (ERNOP) (September 25-26, 2025, Heidelberg University) and offers an ideal opportunity for a week of intensive exchange on the topic of philanthropy.

Topics of the workshops:

• Cross-border philanthropy and international financial flows
• Philanthropy and the SDGs: Implications for sustainable development
• Technological innovation with donations (AI, digital platforms, FinTech)
• Power and equity in philanthropy and hashtag #ShiftThePower initiatives
• Comparative studies on philanthropy and the regulatory landscape

The workshop is aimed at researchers, practitioners and policy makers concerned with global donation flows, innovative funding approaches and the role of philanthropic organizations in sustainable development. 

Submission of contributions:

• Abstracts (max. 500 words) can be submitted until May 01, 2025
