Prof. Georg von Schnurbein promoted to Full Professor by the University Council as of 01.08.2022
The team warmly congratulates our founding director Georg von Schnurbein on his promotion to Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Basel. Since its foundation 14 years ago, Georg von Schnurbein has shaped the CEPS into a leading interdisciplinary research institute on philanthropy and nonprofit management.
Georg von Schnurbein is co-editor of the Swiss Foundation Code and the annual Swiss Foundation Report. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Nonprofit Management & Leadership" and of the Scientific Advisory Board of the "Satell Institute" in Philadelphia/USA.
In addition to his research work, Georg von Schnurbein is committed to promoting the philanthropy sector. Among other things, he is co-founder of the Foundation Board Academy for the training of charitable foundation boards in Switzerland. In addition, Georg von Schnurbein volunteers on several foundation boards in the fields of education and culture.
