Save the Date – Basel Convention on Philanthropy
On November 19 and 20, 2018, the first Basel Convention on Philanthropy will take place at the Volkshaus Basel.
The convention is organized by the Center for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS) at the University of Basel. Under the motto "A plea for collaboration" we want to create a space for cooperation and synergies together with international representatives of philanthropy, science, politics and business. The program includes exciting keynotes, world cafés on topics such as "global philanthropy" or "philanthropy and politics", panel discussions and three un-conferences on digitalization, migration and climate change.
Among our confirmed speakers are Katherine Milligan, Head and Director of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship; Kamal Ahmad, Founder of the Asian University for Women; Janine Händel, CEO of the Roger Federer Foundation; Michael Alberg-Seberich, Managing Director at Beyond Philanthropy; Prof. Dr. Thomas Adam, Professor at the University of Texas Arlington; and many more.
