5th Swiss Philanthropy Studies Workshop on Volunteering and Legal Issues in Philanthropy

On September 26, the CEPS invited researchers from all over Switzerland and neighbouring countries to the fifth edition of the Swiss Philanthropy Studies Workshop. The workshop has two main objectives: On the one hand, it aims at facilitating the exchange of current research results in the field of philanthropy. On the other hand, it wants to contribute to strengthening the network of researchers in the field of nonprofit organizations.

This year's workshop focused in particular on current research on volunteer work and legal issues in the field of philanthropy. Furthermore, the strengthening of transdisciplinary research was intensively discussed. Last but not least, Manuela Barreca from USI Lugano, as one of the newest members of the CEPS Research Fellows, presented the work of her university in the field of philanthropy.

The CEPS would like to thank all participants for their interesting contributions and intensive discussions and is already looking forward to the sixth edition of the Swiss Philanthropy Workshop next year.
